Rhino tracking ziwa

Ziwa Rhino sanctuary is now home to 21 White Rhinos located about 175km on the Kampala Gulu Highway at Nakitoma Town centre and are the only Wild Rhinos in Uganda. The Rhino tracking activity at the sanctuary is usually an add on before or after the Murchison falls National Park Safari. The civil un-rest in Uganda in the 1970's brought the Rhinos to extinction due to hunting, poaching and increase in human population, the Rhino numbers decreased severely. Chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest

Chimpanzees are one of two exclusively African species of great ape that are still in existance. Kaniyo pabidi in the Budongo forest of Murchison falls National Park offers chimpanzee trekking activities both in the morning and afternoon. However these being wild animals, chances of spotting these chimps are not always guaranteed although they are over 95% within the Kibale Forest, hence making it the most perfect destination in the whole of East Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Boat riding

Enjoy a magnificent four to five hour return voyage starting upstream from Paraa as you relish the exhibition of different bird species, animals and climax it with the fascinating frontal view of the falls. Cruise downstream to the Nile - Albert Delta and witness some of the animals of the wild like hippos, buffaloes, bushbucks, elephants. For the bird lovers, the morning cruise is the best as you look out for the shoebill, malachite king fisher, red throated bee eater and a lot more. The cruises depart at 9am and 2pm daily.
